Nestled just a short drive from Komodo Airport, this hotel is undeniably one of the more esteemed properties in Labuan Bajo, boasting an enviable location amidst stunning natural beauty. On the plus side, the resort's connection to the best dive shop in the area made our diving excursions nice. The knowledgeable instructor and efficient boat operations allowed us to explore amazing dive sites without the hassle of overcrowding. The rooms, complete with balconies offering lovely views, promised a luxurious feel, yet they fell short in terms of upkeep-one of our rooms had a foul smell that required an air freshener just to bear. The restaurant offered a good assortment of Western and Mexican dishes, and the outdoor pool was inviting, albeit unutilized due to dive training schedules. My companions and I encountered some frustrating aspects, including inconsistent air conditioning and a confusing shift in staff attentiveness. While a staff member was quick to assist us with our diving needs, others seemed disengaged during our stay. Blue Marlin Dive Komodo is tinged with potential, particularly for diving enthusiasts. For the price, one might consider seeking alternative accommodations that offer both comfort and more attentive service. It's a haven for divers, but for luxury seekers, it may not entirely satisfy.
